Hello readers I'm an 18 year old girl who has had her own fair share of ups and downs obtaining a higher education. I graduated last year with several college acceptances under my belt, and like most of my other fellow graduates I knew and planned on going to college. That summer I worked hard fundraising, looking for scholarships and other forms of financial assistance, truly believeing no matter what I was going. It hit the new school year but this time not for me, as I had to tend to family matters and didn't have enough money to even go to college. It's been a year since then but I'm afraid to end up in the same sitution as last year. Who ever takes the time to read my story hopefully can somehow help me achieve a better ending to my it. Either by means of advice to sponsorship or anything as such.
i just got out of prison and im unemployed and have no income and have applied for fasfa and got approved. now. i wonder if there are any more grants i can apply for.in ky.
I have recently been accepted to Graduate school for Art Direction but I'm short $1,300 each of the 4 quarters. Does anyone have any advice on grants to apply for or scholarships? I've informed my counselor that I will not be able to attend in January due to my shortage or funding. Also, after completing the FAFSA, I was not awarded much because I hold a Bachelors degree. Please help! I know this is what I want to do and I'm praying that something will change for me.
I am facing a very difficult time with furthering my education. I have been accepted to law school January 2013, but I do not have enough money to cover the cost of tuition. I attempted to postpone my enrollment, but my request was denied by the school because they only allow individuals in the military to do that. This is once in lifetime opportunity for me. In addition to the cost of tuition I have to quit my job in Michigan, break my lease (which will cost), and find an apartment in Charlotte. I also have money to cover books and supplies. I would like to further my education as much as possible so that I may be able to assist younger generations in my family and outside of my family to attend college.
My son is attending college and has exhausted his G. I. benefits. He needs $14,000 to finish and can't seem to find an educational loan or grant. Any suggestions? He did take out a government loan but that is no longer available as well. Where do you turn?
I want to improve my chance at work so I am going back to school at 54. If I get a job it will take from studies. As it is I have no money to live on, so I will be in a homeless shelter. Any advice on this?
I am Abigail Gillego from marikina City, Philippines. I have taken my first year college and 2nd year college first semester in Polytechnic University of the Philippines. Due to financial deficiency, i need to stop from schooling. Right now, I would want to continue my studies so I could help my parents and give them good life that they deserve yet our way of life deprive this. My father sells fruit in the market so he could attend for all our needs. My mother is a plain housewife. I am really hoping that my scholarship would be granted so in the future i could find a good job in order to support my parents and my younger brother's studies, and i could only do that if I am able to graduate in college. I am also planning of helping other people when I graduated to at least give back the good deeds that others would show to me.
I'm trying to raise money for living expenses. My tuition and books are covered but I'm 27 and live alone and would like to focus on school and not work. Any suggestions would help. I'm starting classes in June at California College San Diego.
