Ok...here goes nothin....I am a 23 year old female trying desperatly to get financial aid to go back to school. I have thre very young kids and just divorced a very abusive man. I am a 13 year old high-school student who has a 4.0 gpa and I want to to keep going to my school but my parents can't take me every day so I take rides with my friends parents . Most will probably recognize him for being a good student and will be happy to help. Remember no amount is too small. Be very specific about your needs and your deadlines.

Studentloans.gov states that the maximum loan amount for dependent undergraduate students is $31,000. I have one more semester left at Indiana University Bloomington, and I am becoming very pressed financially. My parents have no money to give, so I work and pay my own way off-campus. I could use about $5000 to help pay off some old debt for books and living expenses, replace my dying laptop and pay the remaining balance on my Bursar. Thus far, I have only accepted $25,000 in direct subsidized and unsubsidized loans after filling out my FAFSA each year. Is there a way to be issued some of the remaining $6000 that the federal government claims I'm entitled to?

How can I apply for this schlarship..i really need some money to help with my tuition this coming semester.

 in response to Jody Bond...   you apply for the pell grant based on need. Most schools have the application in their financial aid departments. You can also apply on line.

since i have lost my job of 14 yrs at age 50 due to the economy, i have enrolled in a tech school to better my education.retirement is not an option nor will it be, currently living off my 401k which is helping with my education and living expenses. thankyou.

I am a student at Butte college in Oroville, CA and I have just been accepted into the schools fire academy and since it is Monday through Friday 7:00 A.M to 5:00 P.M I will not be able to work the hours I am now to make enough money to pay my rent and so forth... or at all pretty much.
